Word From Your Moms:

“'But I don’t want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
'Oh, you can’t help that,' said the Cat. 'We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.'
'How do you know I’m mad?' said Alice.
'You must be,” said the Cat. 'or you wouldn’t have come here.'”

you're killing em again with this one my man. There's probably 5 of my alltime jams in there. Didnt Primo do that Non Phixion 'Rock Stars' joint?

Ahhh, that Al Green sample has to be one of my favorites, in terms of how good the original song AND the hip-hop tune both are. One of the best Al Green songs off his best record (screw the folks that say "Call Me," "I'm Still In Love With You" is it for me). Hot damn, I could listen to that one all day and night.

jaz---Thanks, man. There will be even more fire at the spot later in the week, ya know?

joacimw---You're welcome. Something I genuinely love to do, so it's good to know the efforts are appreciated.

PK---If you're chillin' activities involve a blunt, do you mind blowin' some smoke in my face?

qt5---Brooklyn in da house!

commish---You couldn't be righter my man---Primo laced that beat. And people say all you do is get drunk---bullshit. Ha---hope you've been well.

Adam--"Simply Beautiful" is nearly perfect. Songs just don't get much more lovely than that. And as Kanye beats go, I've always thought that "Good To You" was one of his finest moments as well.

Be talking to you soon. Should be up in the rotation by next week if all goes as planned.

Nice One!! I've really been diggin' the new Common and Talib LP's. Two of the best records to drop this year. Some people talk junk about Kanye, but he's got quite an original ear production wise. The Bobbi Humphrey jam is one of my all-time favs as well. Killin' post!!!

Peace and SOUL,
Dave...
