Rhythms On The Rebound Part Deux

Greetings cousins and cousinettes...how we feelin' out there?

First off, much gratitude to those who dropped some kind words to acknowledge Souled On's 3rd birthday. Since happening upon this momentous occasion, I've been consumed by the preoccupations of any "normal" three-year-old. Perhaps most importantly, I'm finally learning how to rock my Thundercats Underoos in style, although ass cleavage is admittedly still somewhat of a dilemma after years of enjoying less form-fitting undergarments.

Anyway, I'm scribbling away on my next mega-post, but in the meantime, I thought I'd do a quick recap episode and re-up some previously featured tracks that are now no longer available. This is far from a comprehensive list, but the mp3s I selected to upload for the second time are based on requests I've received from my readers. If I overlooked something that you'd like to hear, hit up my inbox and I'll accommodate your request as soon as Moms makes me quit ridin' my fly-ass tricycle.

Peace and hair grease, soul kids...

"Ropes"---Invincible w/ Tiombe Lockhart (zShare)
"Ropes"---Invincible w/ Tiombe Lockhart (savefile)

Invincible deserves more press than she's getting at the moment, so I'll undoubtedly be writing more about this lyrical wonder in the very near future. Couldn't refrain from dropping one of the illest joints from her Shapeshifters LP on you today, though...I've been expectin' this record with the same anticipation that some folks be waitin' on the return of their messiah/prophet/savior. I should be experiencing a comedown after all that internalized hype, but the album didn't disappoint me in the slightest...it's easily one of the finest releases I've heard all year. Cop dat shit if ya haven't already...

Dig deeper...

Word From Your Moms:

"If now isn't a good time for the truth I don't see when we'll get to it."

"I share with the painters the desire
To put a three-dimensional picture
On a one dimensional surface."

"It is wrong to think that love comes from long companionship and persevering courtship. Love is the offspring of spiritual affinity and unless that affinity is created in a moment, it will not be created for years or even generations."

All above quotes by Nikki Giovanni

i haven't left a comment here in more than a little bit. blame it on life in general. gonna change that up.

i'm not even going to talk about all the good stuff that's here. it would take a good week. i'll just say that you get major major props for dropping Vicki Anderson and Black Star for starters.

been following you for many moons, and will continue doin' it, on the real. uno, dos, tres anos. keep it up, Scholar.

Great blog and those singers too, I really liked John Lennon music but let me tell you that he used to have dysfunctional problems so it's probably that he visited Viagra Online.
