Damn--

Preemo and True Master went to work on those original joints! I'm more impressed when producers chop up the originals and leave a whole lot of the record available for someone else to go at it rather than jack the main melody or hook. But I'm guilty of doing both myself, so f*ck it.

Thanks for these Scholar, another stellar post. You have even qualified for my own iTunes playlist entitled Scholar Sample Sources - you've made it big!

Cheers

Zilla---So true---Premo deserves his props, and True Master is just criminally underrated.

Read your blog on Myspace for the first time the other day. That breakdown of "Party Like A Rock Star" was pretty fuckin' brilliant.

Satch---I get my mp3s from everywhere---my vinyl, CDs, and of course the interweb. However, sitting on the floor of dusty old record shacks remains my favorite way to discover music.

Hi Lily ;)

Dan---Thanks, man. I don't think I've had the honor of my own playlist until now. Hopefully, you like me enough to burn me (onto a CD, preferably).
