A Force That Can't Be Compared

Since most of the national news coverage this past week has centered around the bird-brained antics of Vice President Dick Cheney (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/16/politics/16tock.html?_r=1&fta=y&oref=slogin), it seemed like a very good day to just hit you with some music links I've been holdin'. I don't know about you, but right now I'd rather kick back and smoke a blunt, listen to some dope music, and momentarily forget that our fate is resting in the hands of complete morons...

More Jay Dee tributes have surfaced since my last post. Check them out at the following locations:

If that doesn't provide enough estrogen-fueled rap flava for you, check out this post on MCs of the female kind at Moistworks (see 2/15):
http://www.moistworks.com/. Included are mp3s by M.I.A., MC Lyte, Missy Elliott, and more.

Two tracks by M1 of dead prez are at callmeMICKEY (see 2/13): http://callmemickey.blogspot.com/.

One of the great underground classics, "Methods" by Charizma and Peanut Butter Wolf was recently posted at No Frontin':
http://www.songz.blogspot.com/.

In my personal opinion, T.I. is more guilty pleasure than "king of the South", but that doesn't stop me from diggin' "What U Know" like a gotdamn grave (see 2/03 post): http://15minutestolisten.blogspot.com/.
Cop "Fugg That" by Five Deez at ADORU:

If self-deprecating, Muslim albino rappers are your thing, check out a couple of Brother Ali tracks at Trees Lounge. These songs aren't new, but dude could still use some exposure. He's probably livin' on nothing but Pop Tarts, so give him some love: http://trees-lounge.blogspot.com/2006/02/from-hood-february.html.

You can download "Game of Love" by Ike & Tina Turner at Dilated Choonz: http://dilate.choonz.com/index.php?id=143.

Finally, get your intergalactic groove on with some Kool Keith "I'm Seein' Robots" type shit. The mp3 is available at Humans Are Dangerous (yes they are):
http://humansaredangerous.blogspot.com/2006/02/creature-4-president.html.

Umm...hopefully that's something for everybody's iPod...
